I'm very excited to continue to flesh out Frankenstein in the style of Donkey Kong Bananza; especially after seeing all the ideas my team and I came up with. On Monday, we convened to finalize our references, which you can see below. We used this final art board to come up with our own silhouette ideas for Frankenstein and the Doctor, showing off some of the mechanic ideas we came up with, such as propelling his arms and drawing them back with his stitches. The top row of drawings I created on my own, but the bottom row I used ChatGPT to generate idle/taunt ideas for a frankenstein brawler. character After picking my favorites (also below) I drew how I thought they would look.

the vibe I bring to the function (Pose Assignment 8/27)
This assignment was fun- I enjoyed not only posing the rig but also the puzzle of how to make the balance and center of gravity make sense. Figuring out all the controls and the side pose was like a little puzzle, I liked it.

Shrek 8/25
Today was a harrowing day for my sanity. Maya crashed at the end of my animation assignment, and ZBrush froze up in the middle of my head sculpt. After nearly putting a fist through my computer, I was forced to start over with way less time than I thought I had. Lesson learned. Trust me.
I'm not an amazing artist (yet), but I can already pick out things I want to improve upon for sculpting. I don't dig into the model enough, I always go too light with carving lines which ultimately leads to way less definition than I want. I also wasn't happy with the fuzziness of some areas or the lack of polish. But I think it was a good first project, and I know what I can build off of from here.

Bouncing Ball Animation 8/25
This was my first animation assignment I've done outside of a few basic ones in my undergrad. I ended up having to redo it multiple times- the first time out of dissatisfaction, and the next three because Maya kept crashing. At least now I can say I really understand how to animate a rubber ball...

Asta
I may or may not play gacha games and this may or may not be a drawing of a character from the gacha game Honkai Star Rail. I used a limited color pallet and did what I could with the given colors and textures for glow-y effects. I drew this in Procreate.
Godzilla
I really like the Legendary Pictures Godzilla movies (despite how ridiculous or nonsensical they can be) so I drew Godzilla using the software Procreate a few months back.
FedEx Mailbot
I created this FedEx branded mail robot in my senior year of undergrad. It was a fun project and helped me understand how to use Substance Painter a lot better than before.
