I am an aspiring 3D Character and Prop Artist with a strong interest in working at AAA studios as well as indie. My top 3 companies are Respawn, Riot, and Airship Syndicate.
1. If you could project out past graduation, what is your
overall career goal?
My career goal is to work in AAA or a stable indie studio, ultimately leading the artistic direction of a game. I’m flexible early on—open to related industries like simulation, theme parks, or collectibles—to gain experience and earn a stable income. Long term, I want to combine leadership and art direction to help tell meaningful stories that resonate with people, but I still want to spend many years working roles in the creation of art assets rather than leading them.
2. If you could project out into starting your career, what sounds the most appealing to you?
I’m most interested in starting my career as a character artist, with prop art as a strong alternative. I prefer stylized work but am committed to practicing realism to stay competitive, especially for AAA studios. I want to show versatility in matching different styles to appeal to both AAA and indie teams. My ideal start would be a AAA role that helps me gain experience and a stable income.
Indie studios such as Digital Sun, Supergiant, Sandfall, Hopoo Games, and Sloclap. I also want to work at an AAA studio like EA, Riot, Respawn, Airship Syndicate, or Capcom.
